AI가 가져다준 집안의 평화

요즘엔 다툴 일이 사라졌다. 예전에는 부부싸움으로 힘든 시간을 보내야 한 적이 많았었다. 사실 그 부부싸움이라는 게 뭐 대단한 것에서부터 시작된 것은 아니었다. 아주 작은 사소한 문제가 커지고 또 커져서 때로는 며칠씩 집안 공기가 싸늘했던 적이 있었다. 사소한 의견 대립이 결국에는 감정싸움이 되었기 때문이다. 그런데 요즘엔 다툴 일이 사라졌다.

내 생각과 아내의 생각이 다를 경우, AI에게 물어보기 때문이다. 요즘에는 제미나이를 주로 사용하고 있는데, 제미나이에게 물어보면 아주 현명한 대답을 해 주어서 둘 다 수긍한다. 결국 싸울 일이 많이 사라졌다. 기술의 발전이 가정의 평화를 증진해 주다니 놀랍다.

요즘에는 가짜 뉴스들도 조금씩 사라진다. 누군가 단톡방에 어떤 주장을 올리면, 바로 제미나이를 이용해 팩트체크에 들어간다. 유튜브 링크나 주장하는 글을 복사하여 제미나이에게 주고 팩트체크를 해 달라고 하면, 어떤 점이 사실이고 그러한 작은 사실에 근거하여 과장되고 왜곡된 정보를 어떤 목적으로 전하는지 분석해서 알려준다.

한번은 누군가 단톡방에 우리의 두려움과 공포를 자극하고 어떤 나라에 대한 증오를 불러일으키는 글을 올렸다. 그래서 AI에게 팩트체크를 요청했다. 그랬더니 세세하게 분석해 주었다. 그래서 그것을 제미나이에게 물어본 결과라며 단톡방에 올렸다. 그러자 그 글에 마음으로 동조하던 사람들이 반발하였다. 제미나이가 성경보다 더 믿을 만하냐고 따지는 사람도 있었다. 내가 제미나이를 성경보다 더 신뢰하는 것도 아닌데 왜 이런 말을 하는 것인지 알 수 없다. 아마도 자신의 생각이 이데올로기가 되어 우상화되었기 때문이 아닐까? 무엇이든 우상이 되면 눈이 멀고 귀가 닫히기 때문이다. 아무리 진리를 가르쳐주어도 눈을 감아버린 자는 설득되지 않기 때문이다.

하지만 단톡방에 가짜 뉴스가 올라오는 비율은 조금씩 줄어가는 것 같다. 엉터리 주장을 올리면 바로 제미나이로 팩트체크를 할 것이라는 점을 잘 알기 때문이다. 기술의 발전이 가짜 뉴스도 만들어내지만, 동시에 가짜 뉴스를 조금씩 밀어내기도 하다니 아주 놀랍다.

우리 크리스천은 신중해야 한다. 내가 하는 말이나 주장이 근거 없는 가짜 뉴스이거나 사실과 동떨어진 것이라면, 우리가 정말 전해야 하는 복음조차 사람들은 들으려 하지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 아무리 내 생각과 일치하는 주장이 담긴 글이나 영상을 접하게 되더라도 그것을 단톡방이나 지인들에게 함부로 공유할 일이 아니다. 먼저 ‘더블 체크’해야 한다. 그래서 그 내용이 사실인지 아닌지, 과장된 것인지 왜곡된 것인지 확인해 보아야 한다. 하나님의 자녀는 진리를 기뻐하는 사람들이어야 하기 때문이다. 거짓으로 진리를 보호할 수 없기 때문이다.

내가 무심코 공유한 것이 내가 직접 작성한 것이 아니라고 해서 내 책임이 사라지는 것은 아니다. 우리가 거짓의 전달 통로로 악용되어서는 안 되기 때문이다. 우리는 성령의 도구가 되어야지, 거짓의 아비인 사탄의 통로가 되어서는 안 된다. 그러고 보면 AI도 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 선물이다. 감사함으로 받으면 버릴 것이 없다(딤전 4:4).

The Pursuit of Truth and Technology: Promoting Peace and Discernment

These days, the reasons for conflict have disappeared. In the past, there were many times when I had to spend difficult hours due to marital quarrels. In fact, those quarrels did not start from anything grand. Very small, trivial issues would grow and grow until the air in the house became cold for several days. This was because minor disagreements eventually turned into emotional battles. However, these days, reasons for fighting have vanished.

When my thoughts and my wife’s thoughts differ, I ask AI. Nowadays, I mainly use Gemini, and when I ask it, it provides such a wise answer that we both agree. Consequently, many opportunities for fighting have disappeared. It is surprising that the advancement of technology promotes peace in the home.

Nowadays, fake news is also gradually disappearing. If someone posts an argument in a group chat, I immediately use Gemini to perform a fact-check. If I copy a YouTube link or an argumentative text, give it to Gemini, and ask for a fact-check, it analyzes and informs me which parts are true and for what purpose exaggerated or distorted information is being conveyed based on those small facts.

Once, someone posted a message in a group chat that stimulated our fears and terrors and incited hatred toward a certain nation. So, I requested a fact-check from the AI. It provided a detailed analysis. I then posted it in the group chat, stating that it was the result of asking Gemini. At that point, those who had agreed with the original post in their hearts reacted defensively. Some people argued, asking if Gemini was more trustworthy than the Bible. I do not trust Gemini more than the Bible, so I do not know why they would say such a thing. Perhaps it is because their own thoughts have become an ideology and have been idolized. This is because once anything becomes an idol, eyes are blinded and ears are closed. No matter how much you teach the truth, those who have closed their eyes cannot be persuaded.

However, the rate at which fake news is posted in group chats seems to be gradually decreasing. This is because people know well that if they post a nonsensical argument, I will immediately fact-check it with Gemini. It is very surprising that while technological advancements create fake news, they also simultaneously push it out.

We Christians must be prudent. If the things I say or claim are groundless fake news or far removed from the facts, people will not even try to listen to the Gospel that we truly must share. No matter how much we encounter a text or video that contains an argument consistent with our own thoughts, we should not share it carelessly in group chats or with acquaintances. We must “double-check” first. We must confirm whether the content is true or not, and whether it is exaggerated or distorted. This is because children of God must be people who delight in the truth. It is because the truth cannot be protected with lies.

The fact that I did not personally write what I inadvertently shared does not mean my responsibility disappears. This is because we must not be misused as channels for delivering lies. We must become instruments of the Holy Spirit, not channels for Satan, the father of lies. Come to think of it, AI is also a gift God has given us. If received with gratitude, nothing is to be rejected (1 Timothy 4:4).
